Whitney’s Story
Intertwined Interests
Whitney’s love of music led her to pursue music technology and graphic design at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. It was college where she learned about Human Computer Interaction (HCI), a new field that merged her love of the arts with her interest in digital technology. When an opportunity at Esri presented itself, Whitney didn’t hesitate—she saw Esri as a place to make an impact and continue to learn.

Most mornings, Whitney attends scrum meetings, where she checks in with product teams—Whitney and her co-workers discuss the status of current projects and note any impediments a team member may be experiencing. Next, there’s time set aside for informal brainstorming sessions, Whitney’s favorite part of the day. It's during these sessions that she engages with developers, UI designers, and key stakeholders. She enjoys the creativity and knowledge sharing their collaborative efforts produce.
