Ryan took a publicity internship with eOne right out of film school. He found himself drawn toward the boardroom, rather than the red carpet, and Ryan was later able to move into an executive assistant role, where he gained valuable insight into corporate and industry operations. A deeper appreciation for the contractual underpinnings of eOne's licensing activities soon developed, and—with professional development support from the company—he moved into his current position.
Ryan is responsible for aligning the activities and initiatives of eOne's Canadian film business with its agreements—and the law. He supports departments across the entire Film Team, fielding requests and inquiries into contractual rights and obligations while working with business leads to negotiate content sales and acquisitions. Ryan also develops tools and resources to improve workflow and information sharing with local and global teams.
