Elliot has a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in social work, which he put to good use while implementing out-of-school-time programs in New York City. It was this experience that showed him the need in schools for more operational and managerial support, which lead him to Education Pioneers.
Elliot is focused on recruiting applicants for the Education Pioneers Fellowship program in the organization’s four priority areas—strategy, data analytics, program and project management, and operations. He’s particularly proud of the development of his team’s diversity and LGBTQ recruitment strategies to diversify their applicant base so that more students see people like themselves in leadership positions.
“There aren’t a lot of organizations that are showcasing the management and analytical needs in the education sector, so I feel like we’re really hitting an important area that might otherwise not have as much reach were it not for our existence.”
“What excites me about coming to work every single day is connecting individuals with opportunities and showing them how they can have an impact in the education sector in ways they may not have ever imagined.”
