Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Olabode attended Auburn University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in computer science. After graduating, Olabode went to graduate school at the University of Florida to pursue a PhD in usable security and computing. In his first year, Olabode took an internship with Duo that later turned into a full-time job offer.
Olabode develops over the horizon prototype ideas—working on more speculative ideas ahead of product engineering that won't be released to the public for at least six to 12 months. He conducts data analysis to support the inclusion of data science into the product and to ensure measured success is based on real data. Olabode also represents Duo’s security expertise and research approaches externally by releasing content and open source code, and speaking at events.
