Pittsburgh Proud
A Pittsburgh native, Connor studied computer science at Carnegie Mellon University. He interned for different tech companies as a student, and after graduating was looking to get into the education technology space. It took him a while to find a company whose mission he supported—but when he discovered Duolingo and its awesome team, he immediately wanted to join.

What Connor Does
Senior Software Engineer
Duolingo has quick turnarounds on its projects—meaning that Connor starts each day knowing exactly what he needs to finish by the end of it. He spends his time writing code for new product launches, but because of Duolingo’s smaller size, he takes on a lot of other responsibilities, including creating specs, making rudimentary designs, and communicating with various co-workers about which direction the product needs to go in.
