Ashley came to Dogfish Head as a fan who wanted a tour and a few samples. After falling in love with the beer—and the people—she applied to work in the tasting room shop. Then she worked her way up, and attributes her current position to decision-makers’ willingness to hire for character first—and to teach skills second.
Ashley’s days vary greatly, since the Dogfish calendar is filled with different events, festivals, and programs. Her duties range from meeting with the Production Team to decide which beers should be featured in which locations to helping plan Sam's appearances. Ashley’s weekly standbys are check-ins with the Marketing Team.
