With a background in electrical engineering, Mark spent nearly a decade as an independent systems and network engineer, providing service to companies across the nation. A perennial problem-solver, Mark was attracted to the dynamic nature of Digital Air Strike, excited by the numerous challenges of being at the forefront of technology.
The top priority for the Development Team is to complete user stories, such as feature requests or bug fixes. As a problem-solver, facilitator, and mentor, Mark is always moving things forward. By leading scrum meetings, working with Design Teams, and ensuring developers don’t get left behind, Mark keeps the two-week development sprint cycle running smoothly.
“We primarily operate in the Azure environment, but we’re not limited to the frameworks we design or build. Everything is API-driven, so a developer can build a new client-facing application in OSJ, React, or Angular. We’re not very ‘purist’ when it comes to the tools being used. That’s one of the benefits of working for a company this size.”
“This company offers a lot of interesting self-improvement options. There are a lot of opportunities to go to technical conferences, trade shows, and local events. The sky’s the limit.”
