Nadia Boujarwah always loved fashion, but struggled to find clothes that fit her body and aligned with her personal style. So, in 2014, she and Lydia Gilbert co-founded Dia&Co, a company where women like Nadia have a chance to embrace fashion and truly share their uniqueness with the world through personal style.
Dia&Co pairs women with stylists who select clothing items based on the client’s fit and fashion preferences. Once a stylist puts together a box filled with five articles of clothing, the package gets shipped to the customer for review. The customer then has five days to try on her new clothes before deciding what to keep.
“As a young plus-sized girl, I grew up having trouble with fashion. It’s normal to struggle finding yourself in terms of fashion, especially when it’s harder for plus-sized women who don’t have a lot of clothes targeted towards them. It’s great that I have someplace where I can connect with other women who went through the same thing. We’re a very inclusive community.”
“What I especially like about Dia&Co is that it’s a company run by women, for women. That ethos is infused at all levels of the business and really drives our culture.”
