Melissa has held almost every role in a dental practice—except for actually being a dentist. After studying general health, she launched her career in a single private practice, before joining Dental One, when the company offered her a chance to rotate amongst several roles. When she learned about the company’s goal to support teams from an operational standpoint, she was hooked—and that passion has seen her through six roles in 13 years.
Melissa solves large problems that influence operational and business decisions—but each topic she tackles keeps patient experience as the top priority. In fact, Melissa is involved in the patient experience, oftentimes troubleshooting issues herself. This hands-on method gives her insight needed to develop processes and put better support plans in place—which is the kind of excellence that got her named to the Service Excellence Hall of Fame.
