As an undergraduate, Byung Soo studied at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. He then moved to the University of Michigan, where he earned his master’s degree and PhD in electrical engineering and computer science systems. Byung Soo saw a prototype of the DAQRI Smart Helmet, and he was amazed by the innovative technology.

Byung Soo’s main goal at DAQRI is to develop new computer vision technology that can work with the DAQRI Smart Helmet, both in the next few months or the next few years. Byung Soo discovers new technologies and develop those ideas into the new products that allow the DAQRI Smart Helmet—and augmented reality—to evolve.
