Team building and bonding come in various forms at DAQRI. Sometimes it’s casual chats in the breakroom or having lunch together—other events are more active, such as a friendly game of wiffle ball or ultimate frisbee. The ping-pong table is only deserted when there’s a workout event, like yoga, going on at the same time.
One of the newest traditions at DAQRI is creating groups out of shared passions. One example is the weekly research paper groups, which function like book clubs, but focus on research papers published in journals and at universities. Topics are eclectic, such as machine learning and distributed systems, and people flock to discuss the wide range of fields—and exercise their mind muscles.
