Angie’s Story
From Psych to Software
Angie thought her career would be in the field of psychology—until she took an engineering class as an objective. From then on, she was hooked, and completed both a technical degree and a software bootcamp. During the final week of the immersive experience, recruiters from Conversant swept in and started the technical interview process.

Software Engineer
Angie plugs headphones in at 9 AM on the dot and focuses on development projects, or collaborates with the Front-end Team in Panama. She helps sync up communications, but her main domain is the API aspect for the Contextual Classification Team. It’s challenging, but Angie’s never expected to pull long hours—even if she loves to stay late.

“I have never been treated differently from an engineer who’s been in the field for 20 years—and I’m just out of school. No one talks to me differently because of my gender—my ideas just count like everyone else’s.”
