At CNN, employees consider their office space a classroom. They’re constantly collaborating and learning from one another. Since the organization is so large, when one division successfully implements a new idea, other departments are able to easily follow suit, creating an open environment where people are educated through collective experience.
Every team at CNN creates their own traditions within the company, and each event is always supported by the company at large. One department enjoys putting together trivia bowl competitions to benefit a non-profit journalism organization that offers student scholarships. Another hosts Turner Classic screenings at different company locations, and all enjoy the occasional happy hour.
