What Andy Does
Traffic Engineering Analyst
When he isn’t taking calls from residents pertaining to traffic control issues such as signing, striping, and signals, Andy is involved in large-scale data analysis of city traffic. Using data from Scottsdale’s major biennial assessment, Andy designs plans to improve safety and flow, like implementing roundabouts, bike lanes, or ingenious striping patterns.

“What we do is based on data, so when we complete a project, and actually see people using our facilities—gaining better safety and service—it’s really gratifying.”
