Jennifer received her bachelor's degree in human resource management from Baylor University and spent several years working in the private sector with stints in real estate, industrial gas, and professional sports. Wanting the chance to work in the public sector and to return to recruiting engineers, Jennifer finally found her home—in the City of Houston.
Jennifer often starts her day by answering emails from the night before. Her time is in high demand, and she maintains a busy schedule filled with contacting candidates for phone interviews, answering questions from managers in the city, and informing the public about opportunities with the City of Houston at career fairs and citywide events.
"Having your health and having your peace of mind—and also being able to enjoy life with your family and your friends—is always a positive, and the City of Houston definitely does offer those opportunities."
"If you love Houston and the diversity that it has, you would love working for the city."
