Chartbeat is known for its smart data and beautifully intuitive interfaces, and both take a whole lot of creative problem solving. So after each six-week development cycle the team gets a full Hack Week to create whatever they want; whether learning something new, building something fun, or hacking away at an unfinished project. The only catch? Come Friday, the hackers have to demo it for the rest of the company. Hack Weeks have resulted in projects like big board displays currently in hundreds of client offices and real-time online chess, some living permanently in Chartbeat Labs.
April showers may bring May flowers, but at Chartbeat, they also bring the beginning of the softball season with Coach "Grampa" Adam Clarkson at the helm. Employees across the company and from every department join the team to perfect batting averages, rock some awesome cleats, and, hopefully, win a game or two while sharing a Miller High Life with one another—regardless of the score.
