Farid studied information sciences and moved into the entertainment industry after completing his degree—and his first step was a large one, since he worked as a project lead and engineer for Activision. With lots of notable games and shows in his portfolio, Farid joined CBS Interactive after being attracted to the company’s work ethic and project scope.
Farid’s role involves lots of planning for both short-term projects and long-term plans, both on his own and with others. Once he and his colleagues work out kinks in timelines or production processes—like rolling out the All Access streaming service—Farid puts his coaching hat on and mentors other leaders.
“I chose this industry and this team because I wanted to be somewhere I could tap into my interests while also building my skills. You can’t get this mix of entertainment and technology anywhere else.”
“What excites me the most are all the different things we're doing to change the way we approach different projects.”
