Brett’s Story
Ingrained Inventiveness
Brett grew up tinkering with all forms of hands-on projects, from woodworking to computers—so the idea of building something and sending it out into the world always appealed to him. After earning his degree in communications—and taking a web development class—Brett realized computer engineering checked all his interest boxes. Then, he set out to teach himself the basics until he landed at CBS.

Brett focuses on supporting the team around him by checking in to see who’s completing what and assessing overall project timelines. Because Brett and his fellow engineers ideate features and projects, research and development is also a big part of his job—especially when it comes to hashing out the details and deliverables associated with something like the Big Brother voting system.

“The chance to be involved in projects by inserting yourself and your ideas into them allows you to really be a factor in building something—not just assembling it.”
