Eric’s Story
Taking Stock
Eric’s lifelong dream was to be a big-shot stock broker—at least at first. After earning a degree in economics and math, he discovered his love of programming. As he took on more leadership opportunities at various startups, Eric transitioned to product management, since he wanted to ensure his teams were building a product customers would use. Then Eric discovered CarMax, which he loves for its startup culture at a Fortune 500 scale.
