Recently, CARFAX revamped its Socket system to accommodate new kinds of incoming data. For Todd, it was an all-time favorite personal project—because he was given complete control over the creation. With only an end goal assigned, Todd had the freedom to create how he saw fit, and, in the end, he had a simple, functional, and easy-to-understand product he was extremely proud of.
Todd arrives in the office at 7:00 AM, and at 8:10 AM, he attends a virtual Stand-Up Meeting with CARFAX’s Virginia office. Afterwards, Todd and his team go into programming sessions for the remainder of the day—writing test products and developing software for internal and external use. There’s always time, though, for fun and to take care of any personal matters throughout the day.
