Jesse’s Story
Changing Direction
Jesse was a management major in college, but an interest in web development led him to pursue courses outside of his standard curriculum. By the time Jesse graduated, he was also a self-taught coder. Before moving to the San Francisco office, Jesse worked at Capital One in Virginia—and he got nothing but encouragement and support during his move across the country.

What Jesse Does
Software Engineer
Jesse manages 10 full-stack software engineers, but his main goal is giving customers access to Capital One’s Dev Exchange portal so they can access the information needed to up their own fintech game. Jesse also attends regular stand-up meetings, since a separate team does the heavy lifting from a data standpoint—but he’s the master when it comes to open APIs.
