Jenny’s Story
Software Stealth
Jenny studied computer science, but hoped to become a defense contractor after she graduated. While interning with a major company and getting a security clearance, Jenny decided to move to the West Coast—and a recruiter from Capital One immediately reached out to her. A year after joining the team as a software engineer, Jenny took a promotion and headed back east.

Senior Software Engineer
Jenny decides what she’ll tackle for the day in a 9:30 AM stand-up meeting. Then, she gets coding and has a peer review it before hitting the submit button. Since Jenny’s part of the Innovation Team, she also researches new technologies, adopts new programming languages, and pops out of the office to join her colleagues in their Union Square hangout spot.

“I get to choose what I can contribute to our goals of the day—I choose what I’ll work on and what I’ll research when I’m not coding.”
