Stephen attended George Mason University and majored in marketing. He went on to work in hospitality at a hotel, and truly enjoyed working with and helping people. However, Stephen eventually wanted something more challenging, so he came to Canvas as a salesperson. He fell in love with the business from the moment he walked in, and has now grown with the company for four years.
Stephen’s role consists of speaking to clients and performing demonstrations of the product to potential buyers. His main objective during a presentation is gaining an understanding of the client’s business to explain how the software can have a positive impact on it. Stephen’s work doesn’t end with the demos, since he actively follows up with clients for support.
“One of my favorite projects was when I had the opportunity to develop and implement a sales strategy from scratch. It was long hours and very challenging, but the entire thing has grown so much today, and it feels good know I started something that’s still current and impactful.”
