Carrie studied computer science at the University of Central Florida before working in the newspaper industry. After realizing the field was struggling, she moved to Louisville and hoped to expand her technical repertoire beyond C++ in an atypical environment. As soon as she discovered CafePress, Carrie knew she’d found the right fit—and she was hired as one of the first programmers.
Carrie heads a team of developers who improve the inner workings of CafePress. Because she’s interested in doing things correctly over time instead of implementing short-term solutions, Carrie also leads the group through sprint cycles, with a team-focused approach to moving projects forward. When she isn’t replacing old technologies, Carrie lends a hand on special assignments—like revamping the website’s imaging system.
