Katie majored in interior design with a minor in architecture. Before coming to BRPH, she worked as a commercial interior designer for government and retail projects, where she gained experience producing furniture specifications and budgets, selecting building finishes, and designing interior features. Katie eventually learned about BRPH through a family friend and the rest is history.
Though Katie’s tasks and responsibilities depend on what stage her projects are in, she sees a project through from beginning to end, from programming and design to construction administration. At a given moment, she may be at a computer making new designs, or working creatively with finishes—or even be outside the office visiting a construction site.
“My favorite project was an expansion of the Jetblue campus in Orlando—we’re going to be adding onto an existing hotel we built for them. I’m proud of it because we worked the first phase of the project, and it was so successful, they brought us back.”
“A successful interior design candidate at BRPH is somebody who values teamwork, has a strong creative eye, and is able to take their vision and turn it into reality.”
