Melissa became interested in entrepreneurship and technology while in college, and she found out about Box through a friend who worked there. Melissa started out as a recruiting coordinator at the San Francisco office. After attending a recruiting event at the Austin office—and falling in love with the area—she transferred, and moved into her current role.

Melissa oversees the development and launch of new tools and products to be used by Box customers. Her favorite project so far was an internal user interface and user experience review that she conducted by creating and surveying focus groups within Box. Of course, the CEO of the company she was working with had very positive feedback.
