Morten, a Denmark native who grew up in an industrial city, took a creative turn when it came time for him to attend college. By studying graphic and conceptual design, Morton learned much more than composition basics—he dabbled in several aspects of information technology and business management within the field. Now, it’s been seven years since Morton joined Booking.com as an account manager.
Morten serves customers vicariously through partners by scouting each new accommodation provider before they’re part of the platform. However, his work starts before he begins interfacing with a prospect, since he regularly brainstorms with different business stakeholders to come up with savvy initiatives to scale the partner base. Though there’s lots of strategy involved, there’s one aspect of Morten’s days that doesn’t take planning—going out for lunch with his mates.
