After a year as a barrister’s clerk—and after realizing law wasn’t the field for her—Jessica went back to school and gained her BSc in investment and financial risk management from the Cass Business School in London. Using networking events to explore firms and their culture, Jessica met the BlackRock team and knew it was a perfect fit. The culture goes further than the general day-to-day—she's now the co-chair of the Families at BlackRock network.
Jessica works to find solutions to improve performance and client expectations across various funds such as iShares—a major part and success of the firm—in addition to active and passive funds across Fixed Income. Jessica enjoys the changes of the global markets and how no day is the same—being able to see and understand the real impact her team makes every day.
“I love that it’s a team culture, not a competition—we work together, do well together, and grow together.”
“Inclusion and diversity are important at BlackRock, and we want people from all different backgrounds—geographic, educational, cultural. We want to avoid a narrow-minded, herd mentality, especially in investments.”
