By tearing apart and rebuilding family computers, Sean became interested in technology early on in life. Sean studied programming throughout high school and college, and he quickly discovered how rewarding it felt to build tools that were actually useful to people. After years of independent consulting, Sean decided to seek out an employer he could learn from—and landed himself a sweet spot at Bitly.
From recruiting engineers to supporting new hires to taking various meetings with departments throughout Bitly, Sean wears a lot of hats in his role as head of the Application Engineering Team. Involved with many aspects of a product from conception and coding to marketing and sales, Sean's job encompasses both the minutest details and the large-scale capacity of Bitly's entire product suite.
