While product management is a large part of Dan’s job, he’s also in charge of motivating people. Aside from keeping track of deliverables, Dan also helps with design studios and other brainstorming sessions. His goal? To get his groups thinking and provide them with a sense of ownership over the products—making room for folks to run with ideas and solutions to potential problems.
Dan roadmaps strategies to ensure Bitly's products are successful. Each day he analyzes and compares Bitly products to developments being made in other companies and re-aligns team goals to stay on track. Meeting with Sales and Product Teams as well as company leadership and stakeholders, it’s Dan’s job to make sure that what’s being built is in line with Bitly’s long-term business plan.
