Kris spent many years studying the intricacies of materials—and completing a PhD in chemistry at MIT sealed the deal on his career as a materials scientist. Before joining Bemis in a similar role, Kris took on a handful of research and development responsibilities, but he was drawn to Bemis for the opportunity to work with leading brands while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Kris splits mornings between strategy meetings and calls with colleagues in Hong Kong about new product innovations. He then spends time digging into specific market needs and reviewing the innovation portfolio before joining the team in the lab. Applying Six Sigma methodologies and a strong mentorship approach also gives Kris the opportunity to shape the careers of his team while improving product and process quality.
