Dawn studied at Virginia Tech with a ROTC scholarship. After graduation, she completed seven years of active duty with the Marine Corps before attending veterinary school. Dawn’s first job after graduation was working in a private practice, but when she was looking for a change, a Banfield Veterinary Hospital opened 10 minutes from her house.

Dawn’s days consist of a wide variety of medical procedures for pets, from spays and neuters to more intense surgeries, like mass removal. Dawn begins her work early, breaks for lunch to discuss open cases with her team, and continues working late into the evening to keep pets safe and healthy.
