A global studies and business economics major, Michaela never considered herself eligible for the tech industry. One day, however, a close friend, who worked at Autodesk as an engineer, recommended her for an analyst position. Even though Michaela didn’t have every skill required, the company appreciated her communications experience and pleasant personality—and was excited to hire her.
Michaela arrives in the Autodesk office between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, checks emails for immediate issues, and then participates in a series of three Scrum Meetings at 10:00 AM. Throughout the day, Michaela meets with stakeholders to ascertain project needs, solution architects to devise systems, UX designers to create specs and wire frames, and developers to explain add-ons.
