Staying Ahead Of The Curve
The film industry is constantly changing, and—with a festival to coordinate every October—AFF staff members have to work hard to stay fresh and current. Team members are constantly on the search to learn new things. They spend a lot of their time brainstorming innovative ways to educate people about the arts, reading up on current trends, and determining the best way to package new ideas.

One of the perks for working for an internationally renown film festival? Watching a ton of great movies. Whether it’s an early script from a brand new screenwriter or a recent theatre blockbuster, AFF team members are always on the look out for interesting industry changes and new talent, so they can bring those fresh ideas and perspectives to Austin in October.
