Moving with his parents and family from South Africa to the U.S. in 1987, the Woolf family rebuilt their life and business, Argen, in San Diego. With a bachelor’s in economics from Michigan, Anton worked at PWC for two years before joining the family business in 2001, working in various roles before taking the helm in 2008.
Having surveyed the industry landscape, Anton became CEO in 2008 with a vision of the future for Argen. Investing in 3D printing, milling, and ceramics, Anton has taken Argen from being the world’s largest dental alloy producer to also being the largest 3D printing—and soon-to-be largest ceramics—company in the world.
“We have built a family business over 50 years, and my goal is to build and expand our business—one that I am proud of, that my parents are proud of, and that everyone here at the company is proud to be a part of.”
“We have reinvented ourselves as dental innovators. When I look into the future, we have such tremendous growth opportunities, it’s incredible. We grew the digital division of our business by 7% per month over the past four years. We see that segment of our business continuing to grow at an incredibly rapid pace.”
