Kenza’s Story
From Neuroscience to Nonprofit
After graduating from George Washington University with a degree in psychology, Kenza thought that she was going to go into medical or social science research. She worked in a neuroscience lab at Georgetown Medical School for a bit, but realized that she wanted to work in the nonprofit world—and was able to find a marriage between the two fields through her position at AAAS.

What Kenza Does
Philanthropy & Strategic Partnerships Coordinator
A typical day for Kenza focuses on acknowledging donors for their contributions to AAAS, as well as researching individual, foundation, and corporate donor prospects. She enjoys coming up with creative new ways to thank AAAS’ donors and help them understand what it means to be a part of the organization.
