Sid has such a penchant for electrical and computer engineering that he earned a master’s degree in both from Rice University. After serving as a research engineer at the school, Sid joined Amazon Lab126 because he wanted the opportunity to actually build products that run fast and use impressive technologies. Working on the readers he uses himself is an added bonus.
Sid’s duties depend on where a product is in its lifecycle. During early stages, he collaborates cross-functionally to define core components. After a product sketch goes from a paper idea to a tangible product, Sid helps fix bugs and test functions related to the internal hardware.
