Alexandra originally planned to be a lawyer. After several internships and a stint as a law clerk, she realized she had it all wrong—and that higher education marketing was right. After changing paths to focus on university recruiting, Alexandra blended her technology interest into the mix by joining Amazon Lab126, where she started as a university recruiter before taking over the entire program.
Alexandra’s main goal is two-fold—she guides and strengthens her own Recruiting Team so they’re equipped to bring in new talent. Because Amazon Lab126 encourages exploration and big ideas, Alexandra’s team defines customer-obsessed interview processes and entire programs to hire and develop the best junior talent. Then her team organizes the robust annual internship program—and designs tech talks, events, and booths to recruit through universities and campus organizations.
“I’ve never had a moment here where someone wasn’t willing to roll up their sleeves and do something outside the scope of their job.”
“The opportunities our interns and new graduates have to own real projects with large impact are mind-blowing. This group is constantly innovating and building new things—nothing feels off-limits to them.”
