Mae studied industrial design at Carnegie Mellon, but realized her interests were closer to digital design than physical products. This led her to advertising, where she focused on digital installations and robotics—a niche that inspired her love for blending digital and physical interaction. Luckily, Amazon offered the perfect blend of what Mae was best at creating.
Mae’s daily routine involves a combination of tasks, like stakeholder meetings, customer research, and creating design solutions. Design needs always change with new data or customer needs, so Mae spends lots of time honing in on design, which ranges from on-screen work to environmental design. She takes on special projects, like helping launch Prime Now and Amazon Flex.
