Office History
Obama O’s & Cap’n McCain
When Airbnb was starting out, it made a huge splash by renting rooms in Denver during the 2008 DNC convention. It also made some quick cash selling cereal—yes, cereal: Obama O’s and Cap’n McCain. Commemorative oversized boxes now decorate the office to remind everyone of the lesson there: take advantage of opportunity, and when it comes to getting stuff done, don’t be afraid to get a little creative.

What Belinda Does
General Counsel
Belinda’s job is to run legal matters and government relations for Airbnb. With its collaborative consumption model, Airbnb is creating a brand new market—and one that isn’t yet well-clarified in the legal sphere. So Belinda helps the company navigate the older, existing legal regime with new, innovative Airbnb business model. Quite the exciting place to be!

“When you have disruptive businesses, you have an opportunity to get legal clarity on a whole new business model. From a legal perspective, it’s very intellectually stimulating.”
