As an undergraduate student studying business with a marketing concentration, Rachel started working a customer service job at Acumed. Two months after joining, she met people in Acumed’s Marketing Group, as well as a mentor, who encouraged her to apply for an entry-level marketing role. She got the job, and Rachel's spent the past 10 years climbing the ranks.
Rachel’s day can go in a few different directions, but her main goal is to ensure that sales reps and surgeons are well-informed about Acumed’s products. To identify training requirements needed around the globe and create trainings to support patients, she frequently connects with people on the phone, or meets with them directly in the market to conduct field research. Rachel also works in Acumed’s cadaver lab, where she oversees surgeon training.
"There's not a lot of jobs out there where you can come to work every day and know that you're directly impacting patients when they have a traumatic injury—and that's really motivating."
"Every day when I come to work, I'm interacting with our various partners, making sure that we're all working towards the same outcome and that no matter what challenges we're facing, we're focused on delivering the best possible product, training, and customer service."
