Why This Pi Day (Today!) is So Special
This is a truly historic Pi Day.
If your nerd friends haven’t already geeked out over this to you, then let me explain. Pi Day is March 14 every year in honor of the first three digits of pi: 3.14. This particular Pi Day is so special because not only can we celebrate the first three digits, we can go all the way through the first 10: 3/14/15 9:26:53! This only happens once per century, so it’s kind of a big deal.
In honor of this remarkable Pi Day, here’s an infographic with more information than you’ll ever need to know about Pi. Impress all your friends and colleagues with all your newfound knowledge or, you know, bring them an actual pie. That tends to go over well, too.
