We Want This Resume for Christmas
Taking the time to give your resume a little extra flair to help stand out from the pack is a great idea, especially if you work in a creative industry. And Swedish photographer Jens Lennartsson really took that advice to heart when he set out to create a portfolio that would never be forgotten—an action figure of himself.
That's right: The "GI Jens" are custom-made mini replicas of Lennartsson, complete with a camera in hand, a moveable arm, and a camera bag slung across his shoulder.
In case the toy itself wasn't enough to make everybody want to hire him immediately, each figure comes complete with a beautiful fold-out portfolio of some of his work.
Even the packaging is awesome—the back of the box touts features such as "really good camera," "loved by 9 out of 10 art directors," and "zombie proof"—and then, of course, has Lennartsson's contact info for all the people eager to work with him.
Even though this approach won't be applicable to many career paths, it's still nice to see people pushing the limits of how you can get noticed in the job world. Watch the video below to see what went into creating this custom action figure (and you thought your resume took a lot of work!), and check out Lennartsson's website for more of his photography.
Jens, we hope you get lots and lots of jobs.
