Stripe wants to make online payments as easy to send and receive as email. By putting powerful tools in the hands of people around the world, Stripe allows them to execute their ideas more effectively and start businesses from anywhere.
Considering there are more than 2.5 billion people online today but less than 5% of consumer spending happening over the internet, there’s still a lot of opportunity—and a lot of work—ahead for Stripe.
“A lot of things are in flux. We’re shifting away from being a tiny startup and growing the organization, people, and products. It’s a really interesting time to be at Stripe because we’re defining all of these right now,” shares Amber Feng, Engineering Manager.
With so much interesting work to be done, Stripe looks for a particular breed in its hires—specifically, those who are curious-minded. Stripes are constantly learning and evolving, both as a team and as individuals. They hold themselves to high standards and strive to have an exceptionally great product and company.
“The expectation at Stripe to be open to new ideas and be willing to share makes for a really interesting, social, collaborative, and learning environment that gets incredible results,” says Head of Design Malthe Sigurdsson.
