This Company Lets Its Team Weigh in on Everything—From Strategy to the Lunch Menu
Having trouble finding classy dress shoes without the absurd price tag? It’s time you took a peek at the work of the Jack Erwin team.
Founded in 2013, Jack Erwin has been crafting timeless men’s shoes while growing into a phenemenon. The company is known for working with the best factories and artisans to create custom designs that won’t cost you an arm and a leg (or anything close to that) to purchase.
What’s even better than representing a great shoe brand? Knowing that you’re working with an awesome team that believes in the same product you do. “We’re creating more than just a shoe company. There’s an opportunity to build a new luxury brand that combines beautiful products, an incredible experience, and fun, quirky, smart people,” says Paul Morimoto, who works in operations.
To create beautiful products, the company understands that everyone’s voice must be heard every step of the way. There are no separate offices at Jack Erwin HQ, allowing employees to work cross-functionally and to see the importance of every part of the process. “Everyone is involved in the conversation—whether we’re talking about how we can improve our website, brainstorming a killer marketing campaign, or debating what the best lunch option around us is,” explains Molly Garraway, a customer experience team member.
Speaking of lunch, food is a big deal at the Jack Erwin offices. The brand hosts company-wide Wednesday lunches, and the menu is always a huge topic of conversation around the office throughout the week.
Pizza and ice cream or salad and fruit? Join the team, then you can weigh in.
