Redbubble is a global online marketplace through which thousands of artists sell their designs hassle-free and customers can browse and purchase their work. Beyond a marketplace, Redbubble is a community where creative individuals can buy, admire, and discuss art.
Both the Melbourne and San Francisco offices are filled with the work of Redbubble artists, which not only makes for beautiful décor, but a source of inspiration for the employees as well. “We create this inclusive community for artists to be able to express their stories,” shares Sam Hatamian, Data Analyst. “When I’m having a tough day and I’m looking at some of these pictures, I see the paths that other people have taken and the opportunities that we’ve given, and that’s something that motivates me.”
Redbubble is not only extremely supportive of its artists, but of its employees as well. “We all want to make the company grow. We all want to make the company better. It’s easy for us to trust each other or to ask for help when we need help,” says Emy Alegré, UX Design Lead. And at Redbubble, co-workers enjoy both lending a helping hand and spending time together.
When they aren’t helping to spread awesome and unique art around the world, they can be found going head-to-head in a ping-pong competition, relaxing in the meditation and daily mindfulness room, or jamming out to vinyl records, among many other activities that help the team to both bond and unwind. “For me, the idea of fun is really to be in a place where people care about me and want to spend time with me,” shares Hatamian. And at Redbubble, that is very much the case.
