RideScout is a mobile app that allows users to view real-time information on transportation options and availability in their area. When the app is opened, it provides bus, bike, taxi, car share, rideshare, parking, and even walking directions all in one view, making it easy to navigate any city on a day-to-day basis.
“Our goal is to provide information on different transit options that will help decongest traffic and improve the productivity of our user’s lives,” says Brady Miller, Lead iOS Developer. Toward that goal, everyone at RideScout is anxiously awaiting the new application releases that will be put out by the end of the year.
Even as the company moves forward and grows bigger, however, it strives to retain that startup feel. Twice a week, RideScout employees have catered team lunches. Because everyone sits at one big table together, co-workers have the chance to mix up who they sit with and take the time to really understand what’s going on in each other’s work and personal lives. It’s important to RideScout employees that they build strong bonds with the people they spend their time with every day—and this maintains a family feel within the company.
