If you’re a college senior who wants to line a great gig up before graduation, we’ve got good news: AlphaSights is hiring 100 (yes, 100!) analysts over the next few months to start in summer 2015, and it wants ambitious Musers to apply.
Here’s the scoop on the gig: AlphaSights is a “premier knowledge broker,” connecting clients with experts in very specific fields. What does this mean? When companies need information and data—the kind you can’t find with a simple Google search—they contact AlphaSights to guide them in the right direction.
As an analyst, you’ll be the point person for clients, helping “deliver ‘dealmoving’ insights to decisionmakers.” Instead of crunching numbers in Excel all day, you’ll be talking to people, learning the ins and outs of the business world, and building relationships with some of the smartest experts in the world. How’s that for a first job with bragging rights?
The AlphaSights team says it’s “very selective,” but we got the head of recruiting to give us the scoop on how to stand out. “We’re not looking for a set of skills, we’re looking for people who make an impact in whatever they choose to pursue,” says Chris Flynn-Rozanski. “Our analysts have shown an ability to excel in the classroom, on campus, and in the workplace while managing to have fun along the way. That’s what stands out to us—someone who has demonstrated that success in those facets while enjoying their college experience.”
To apply, make sure you do your research. “Our business model is unique, so it’s not something most candidates come across in their broader job search,” notes Flynn-Rozanski. “Those who can clearly articulate what we do and how the opportunity aligns with their goals really stand out among the crowd.”
Not graduating yet? AlphaSights is also hiring 30-40 summer interns. Apply for both gigs here, then click below to get a peek into AlphaSights’ office.
