Take-Two is a leading developer, publisher, and marketer of interactive entertainment for consumers around the globe. This company’s products are designed for console systems and personal computers, including smartphones and tablets, and are delivered through physical retail, digital download, online platforms, and cloud streaming services.
But this isn’t your average video game company. Take-Two is consistently using tons of data—from how the game actually gets into a customer’s hands to how the customer then interacts with it—to inform decision-making across the company. “Being at the center of that—being able to both scrounge up the data and highlight specific things to all levels of the company—I think that’s pretty exciting,” says Alex Marti, Digital Sales Manager.
And as the industry changes, Take-Two is keeping up. “When I started in it, it was much more traditional software development,” shares Shane Smith, Director of Global Enterprise Infrastructure. “You worked a long time, you put a product out, and then it was done. The world’s changed. Everything’s online now, it’s much more dependent on networking, there are social components to it; and I think that that’s an area where we’re really branching out and doing more. We’re all part of the team that’s supporting that new technology.”
When Take-Two team members aren’t creating fun gaming experiences for consumers, they’re having fun, blowing off steam, and building team morale. From paintball games to ping-pong tournaments, yoga to coloring on the roof, it’s always a good time. And yes, they get to play video games, too.
“Honestly, everyone who I work with here really is great. Everyone really gets along here, shares Marti. “That’s a big piece of what keeps me coming here every day and what keeps me happy here.”
