TravelClick serves hotels—offering both huge global brands and mom-and-pop businesses reservation solutions, business intelligence products, and media and marketing services.
And an important part of that job is understanding the worldwide travel landscape. “We definitely encourage employees to get out of the office and see what’s out there,” says Nate Wheeler, Media Director at TravelClick. And while “getting out of the TravelClick office” could mean going to industry events in New York City, it could also mean flying to the company’s other six locations around the world.
“At TravelClick, there’s a lot of traveling for various different reasons and different jobs—and for fun as well,” explains Lindsey Eckstein, Director of Business Intelligence Product Management. “I flew to the company’s Barcelona office, stayed there for a week, then hopped over to Switzerland and did some skiing.”
Team members have also gone to London, Madrid, Singapore, India, and Portugal.
But that’s not to say their office lives aren’t also awesome. TravelClick’s employees love to get a little midday R&R by playing indoor basketball, corn hole, and ping-pong—even doing yoga. Every Thursday, a TravelClick team member takes control of the office beer cart. There are also company happy hours, sports outings, and viewing parties in the company’s board room.
“At TravelClick, we have a young, fun, energetic environment,” Wheeler says.
